The Infamous Masterson’s , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my recent visit at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I experienced behind its walls was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .

From the moment I stepped inside , it was apparent that upkeep was not a priority at this venue. The ground was covered in grime , and a overpowering stench of decaying beverages and uncleaned toilets filled the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of human waste, decay and sour vomit . The bar area , which should be the main attraction of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and trash that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The restroom was in even a more revolting state — clogged , with a shattered handle and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human excrement .
It wasn’t just a rare instance either. Going through other patrons’ reviews and conversing with residents , it seems that the state of cleanliness (or lack thereof) at this pub is a well-known flaw . Many guests have reported witnessing insects darting across the drink station and evidence of rodent infestations in the storage spaces check . For a business that serves drinks , these issues are absolutely intolerable and raise serious concerns about the quality of their offerings.
